法新社報導，在法院阻止里約熱內盧匯款重要的款項給2016里約奧運主辦單位下，國際帕拉林匹克委員會（International Paralympic Committee ，IPC）主席克雷文（Philip Craven）前往會見巴西政府和市府官員，希望獲得財務資金方面的保證。
克雷文說：「目前情況雖十分危急，但謠傳帕運可能喊卡，或賽事項目可能減少，全都是空穴來風，不是事實。」
克雷文指出：「倘若沒額外的資金挹注，主辦單位繼削砍國際奧委會和奧運經費後，也必須進一削減帕運的經費。」
奧運主辦單位已經砍掉交通和伙食費用，以維持預算不超標。
克雷文表示，里約奧運主辦單位已保證月底前支付允諾提供國家委員會的補助。
克雷文警告，「如果作不到，恐導致一些國家無法參與準備籌劃多年的帕運。」
彭博報導，2016里約奧運發言人安德拉達（MariaAndrada）說，他有信心選手交通補助費將在月底前支付。」
IPC發言人表示，主辦單位如果付不出交通補助費，代表超過50個國家的選手恐無緣參加里約帕運。1050816
